Cranleigh Choral Society

About Us

Cranleigh Choral Society has been a regular feature of village life for over 100 years.  Today it continues to provide opportunities to participate in music-making at the heart of the local community and to become part of a circle of music enthusiasts, both in and out of rehearsals.

The society produces three concerts a year, including an annual concert in conjunction with Cranleigh School. Recent concerts have included a memorable performance of Orff'sCarmina Burana in Guildford Cathedral, Haydn’s Nelson Mass in St Nicolas Church, Cranleigh, and Karl Jenkins'The Armed Man - A Mass For Peace in Cranleigh Village Hall. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7.45 pm to 9.45 pm in the Merriman Music School at Cranleigh School, Horseshoe Lane, Cranleigh.

Choir Rehearsal

Choral Workshop days are held at Cranleigh School every few years; the last one was held in May 2008.

We are extremely fortunate to have Marcus Pashley as Musical Director and Toby Moschard as our Associate Musical Director; click on their names to see their biographies.

We are always keen to welcome new members. Huge amounts of experience are not required, so just feel free to turn up and see how you get on.
