Toby Moschard

Toby Moschard was born in 1981 in Perth, Scotland, and was educated at Glenalmond College, where he was a music scholar, and at Durham University, where he was Organ Scholar of Hatfield College.
He was later Organ Scholar of Durham Cathedral and Director of Durham University Chamber Choir whom he conducted in a memorable performance of J.S. Bach’s St John Passion in Durham in February 2007 and of Kenneth Leighton’s Mass for Double Choir in The National Portrait Gallery, London, in April 2007.
He was appointed Head of Academic Music and Chapel Organist at Cranleigh School in September 2007.
He studied the organ with Anne Marsden Thomas in London and gained the Limpus, Frederick Shinn and Durrant prizes in the Summer 2005 Fellowship of the Royal College of Organists examinations for the highest marks in performance. He was subsequently awarded the Worshipful Company of Musicians silver medal for his playing. He also gained the RCO diploma in choral directing.
He has worked on the staff of the Eton Choral Courses and is an examiner for A-level music.
